Welcome to the Finkle Family Web Pages!

These pages are dedicated to the Finkle Family members who are descended from Thurston Finkle (also known as Tosten Finkleson, Tosten Finkjelsen, and Tosten Finkelsen) who emigrated with his parents from Vestre Slidre, Norway, in March 1850, to settle near Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA. We would be very pleased to hear from other family members as these pages are devoted to the line from Thurston's son Frederick C. Finkle, Sr, because we have no information on Thurston's brothers, George and Knud, or sister, Marit)  who we know from the 1860 Census were living as a family.

We visited Vestre Slidre in June 2004 and found the Grythe farm where the family lived before they emigrated.
